TRY THIS AT HOME: BOLD EYEBROWS

Bold Eyebrows
Break ups are never easy, and this month, I had two. Blame the bold Brooke Shields-esque brows that are having a major beauty moment right now, but I recently felt compelled to stop the biweekly dates I’d been having with my eyebrow waxer. Even my daily tweezer trysts have been put on hold.
It’s been a growing experience, to say the least. But in the end, a lot of restraint and a little bit of strategically placed pencil have resulted in a set of well-defined wow-brows. “Boldbrows have been iconic since the fifties,” says celebrity makeup artist Fabiola. “They open and enhance the eye, and have a dramatic effect.”
Here’s how to get your own super set.
  • Put down the tweezers. They should only be used to clean up obvious strays. For this trend, it’s ok to let them get a bit unruly (we’ll talk about brushing them into submission in a moment).
  • Give some guidance. Use a clean mascara wand or eyebrow comb to brush the hair up. Any random strands should be brushed up at the arch and away from the nose.
  • Add finishing touches. Finish by brushing the eyebrow down and up until you have filled in the areas desired.
